Articles: Vintage Easter Post Cards: Nostalgic Images for a traditional time.

During the end of the 19th century, the tradition of sending greeting cards during Easter to family and friends began. This “New Trend” started off slowly, and “only a few were send in 1898, however the cards subsequently became popular worldwide.” According to Wikipedia.

As this custom started the cards was printed in black and white, as well as in color. usually with a gigantic egg on the front.

“During the first years during which Easter postcards were sent, the front side was empty. This was the space for senders to write their greetings because post offices would only allow the address and the stamp on the back side. Because of that, the artistically precious illustrations were deformed.”

“In 1905, post offices in Austria and Germany separated the back side of the cards into two halves. The right half served as before (for the address and the stamp) and the other half was the new space for the message. In 1906 this was officially allowed by the world-post-congress in Rome.”

“Circa 1910, the cards were mainly monochrome pictures which were sometimes colored with children in the context with lambs, poultry, and eggs. Young girls were a symbol for luck and hope. The Easter bunny which was a personified symbol of fruitfulness, was often portrayed with eggs. German publishers were leading in the production of Easter postcards before the First World War.”

“The number of Easter postcards declined through the Second World War. Since then, the number of cards sent has declined; especially during the past decade because of the competition with telephony and e-mail.”

Articles: The Modern Gentleman’s Guide to Chivalry.

Low Value women are always saying: “why can’t I find a good man?”, “chivalry is dead!”. The answer is their are so many good men out there who want a serious relationship, but women don’t really want “good stable men” until the biological clock is getting late, and or having a child or two, or three that they are raising in a single parent household. Women always waste the best years of their lives dating and mating with “Bad Boy” (all the while knowing the true nature of the bad boys they choose to be with.) When it doesn’t work out (it almost always doesn’t) they want to settle down with the High Value Gentlemen who now views you as not worth all the trauma and baggage left behind by the bad boys who ran them though.

As far as Chivalry, it has it’s origins in the noble Knighthood of times past. English and noble gentlemen adapted the code of Knighthood to a way of displaying a civilized way of conduct extended to not only women, but to all human beings as a whole. As time went on the practice was abused by unscrupulous women seeking to take advantage of true a gentleman’s nature for personal and monetary gain.

The code of Chivalry: “an informal and varying code of conduct developed in Europe between 1170 and 1220. It is associated with the medieval Christian informal and varying code of conduct developed in Europe between 1170 and 1220. It is associated with the medieval Christian institution of knighthood, with knights being members of various chivalric orders;[1][2] knights’ and gentlemen’s behaviours were governed by chivalrous social codes.an institution of knighthood, with knights being members of various chivalric orders; knights’ and gentlemen’s behaviours were governed by chivalrous social codes.” According to Wikipedia.

Ten Commandments of Chivalry

“Pioneering French literary historian Léon Gautier compiled what he called the medieval Ten Commandments of chivalry in his book La Chevalerie (1884):

  1. Thou shalt believe all that the Church teaches and thou shalt observe all its directions.
  2. Thou shalt defend the Church.
  3. Thou shalt respect all weaknesses, and shalt constitute thyself the defender of them.
  4. Thou shalt love the country in which thou wast born.
  5. Thou shalt not back down before thine enemy.
  6. Thou shalt make war against the infidel without cessation and without mercy.
  7. Thou shalt perform scrupulously thy feudal duties, if they be not contrary to the laws of God.
  8. Thou shalt never lie, and shalt remain faithful to thy pledged word.
  9. Thou shalt be generous, and give to everyone.
  10. Thou shalt be everywhere and always the champion of the Right and the Good against Injustice and Evil”.

Fast forward to modern times, and this sort of code of conduct puts true gentlemen at risk, so therefore most be modified. Let’s start with the different types of females. Now remember, all ladies are females, however not all women are ladies! A Lady (who qualifies as one) will only have access to a gentleman’s chivalry, with all others being treated as they present.

The New Ten Commandments of Chivalry:

  1. You have free will to chose between Right & Wrong (remember Karma)
  2. Thou shall defend your family and close friends under all circumstances.
  3. Thou shalt respect all weaknesses of others, and shalt constitute thyself the defender of them.
  4. Thou shalt not back down before thine enemy.
  5. Thou shalt never lie, and shalt remain faithful to thy pledged word.
  6. Thou shalt be generous, and give to everyone who is worthy.
  7. Unworthy women will not be considered for company at all.
  8. Women who ask for money to pay bills, rent, or other luxury or utilities on the first date or second will be considered undesirable and will distance away for her.
  9. A gentleman has no obligation to assist in any way a Low Value Women or a Non-Lady respectfully.
  10. Thou shalt be everywhere and always the champion of the Right and the Good against Injustice and Evil.

Now this is not gospel but rather a guide, when in doubt use your better judgement. The old forms of Chivalry is dead, but has reemerged from the ashes of it’s former self into a far more and self-preserving code of conduct to live by.

A Gentleman’s Guide to Staying “Simp” Free in 2024.

As you may know (if you don’t this guide will help you), there is a whole class of women who float around in social gatherings i.e bars, lounges, clubs, using their looks coupled with manipulation to ensnare a “Simp” with the goal of one thing, to get you to pay for everything for her (and all of her friends as well). it can also be described as: “It is when a male is overly submissive to a female and gains nothing from it. So overly submissive that other guys cringe and feel ashamed when seeing them.” according to the Urban dictionary. Or

“Simp” is a slang term used to describe a person who is perceived as overly submissive or even desperate for the attention or affection of someone without receiving anything in return.

I refer to these kind of women as “Simp-Sharks”. They will do anything in their power to get some “nice guy” to subsidize their lifestyle for as long as possible, often they will “collect” 3 or 4 of these “simps” to pay for different areas of their life’s. one for Food: (the one they call to pay for free meals), one for Bills: (to her rent, phone, gas, car-note, etc), and another for Travel: (vacations, weekend trips, day trips, cruise’s).

How to Spot Simp-Sharks:

1) The well sexy\dressed women, alone or with a group of 2-4. they will flatter and flirt their way into your wallet with a finesse and false sense they you might have a shot with them.

2) The attractive female who friend-zoned you for years, but never makes any deposits only withdrawals i.e. never pays for anything when she’s with you, never brought you anything ever.

3) The dating wolf who is just dating you for a free meal/night out, and refuses to kiss you or avoids anything romantic or sexual.

It is best to spend that hard earned money investing in yourself. purchase some stock, crypto, or art. Built yourself up rather than letting these parasites tear you down.

Vintage Halloween Post Card Secrets. Forgotten Love Divination Rituals of Halloween’s Past.

Back in the 1900’s Halloween Began to go mainstream, and began to to more commercialized with the creating of die-cut paper decorations and post cards. Now the custom of wearing Halloween costumes started in the1930’s as they appeared in stores, and the custom of “Trick or Treating” appeared in the 1950’s. However before the the 1930’s-50’s Halloween was celebrated by young women performing romantic divination rites to discover their future husband or lover, which are illustrated by vintage post card of the period.

One such ritual is the “Burning of the Nuts”. Ladies would grab a handful of Hazel Nuts and toss them onto a fire, (after writing the name of a potential love interests on each one of them) the one that burned to ashes was the match instead of popping.

“These matchmaking rituals ranged from the creepy to the absurd. Thanks to the preservation of old Halloween postcards we now have an idea of how some of our ancestors spent their nights on Halloween”.

Now there are a few that utilized apples.

“An old school holiday matchmaking tradition. These days people only bob for apples for fun, but back in the olden days, it was all done to find the perfect mate. At parties it was popular for ladies to mark apples and drop them in a tub of water. Men would then “bob” for the apples to find a match”.

The most popular tradition was sort of creepy (and scary), young women would go into a dark room and gaze into a mirror holding a single candle to catch a glimpse of their future husband in the mirror behind them. If a woman saw a skull in place of a handsome face, it would mean that they would die before they married. This practice was especially popular on Halloween night, at the stroke of midnight.

Seems Halloween was a bit more interesting back then?

Fashion News: 2023 Met Gala will pay Tribute to the late Karl Largerfeld.

It was announced on Sept 30 2022 that the theme for the 2023 Met Gala will be a tribute to the late designer Karl Largerfeld. The late former creative director for Chanel who died from pancreatic cancer in 2019 will be honored as some speak out against it. “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty,” will “explore the artistic methodology and stylistic vocabulary of Karl Lagerfeld’s designs through recurring themes across more than 65 years, from the 1950s to his final collection in 2019.” According to the Met.

The Met Gala will be held on May 1st 2023, and the exhibition will run from May to July 2023 which will feature about 150 of Karl’s designs that he created while creative director for Chloé, Fendi, ChanelBalmain and Patou, as well as items from his eponymous label. The head curator of the Met Andrew Bolton said that he got inspired after hearing Largerfeld’s design assistants pay tribute at the memorial service of the late designer.

“I was so fascinated by how they communicated [with Lagerfeld], which was by drawings,” Bolton told CNN Sept. 30. “Every single design in his life was a sketch. And when I saw the drawings, I thought, ‘These are so charming, so whimsical, so impressionistic.’ But what I didn’t realize was that they contained really precise information—about a shoulder line or the length of a sleeve. And [his staff] knew exactly what this line meant or what that dot meant, and they could decode it.”

Jameela Jamil took to social media to say: “Why is THIS who we celebrate when there are so many AMAZING designers out there who aren’t bigoted white men? What happened to everyone’s principles and ‘advocacy.’ You don’t get to stand for justice in these areas, and then attend the celebration of someone who reveled in his own public disdain for marginalized people. ”Lagerfelt’s controversial 2009 interview in which he told German magazine Focus that “no one wants to see curvy women.” she also stated. “If you don’t want your pants pulled about, don’t become a model! Join a nunnery, there’ll always be a place for you in the convent,” Lagerfeld reportedly told Numero in 2018. Well not everyone is happy about the theme for the biggest event in fashion.

However the late designer was highly talented, and his contributions to fashion was nothing less then amazing! The show will go on nonetheless.
